In the summer of 2011, a group of parishioners worked to develop a new brand for our parish and school that would convey the values and strengths of our community. After several meetings the group chose our logo.
- The image of the Chirho cross that sits atop the eastern portion of our church was selected for its strength, uniqueness, and visibility across our campus. The cross symbolizes the victory of resurrection over death.
Green hill (and copper roof)
- The green represents two things: hills on which our campus sits and on which the cross at Calvary stood and the green in our copper roof where the cross stands. The active form of the green is there to invoke feelings of solidity and progress.
- The typography of Our Lady of Peace places our namesake at the foot of the cross, just as Blessed Mother was there for Jesus.
- The Catholic Church & School line at the bottom was incoporated to fully communicate our identity. Results of a survey completed during this process indicate that Our Lady of Peace places great value on community, worship & liturgy, and education & faith formation. Those values are evident in the identifier with the ampersand connecting the Church & the School.
