Special Learning

OLP School Ministry has a new full-time Learning Specialist as a member of our teaching staff. Mr. Bryan Young, a 12 year veteran in education, accepted this position in August 2006. Having a Learning Specialist on staff significatly advances our programming at OLP in our ongoing efforts to meet and serve the wide variety of educational needs of our children. Mr Young works collaboratively with our teaching staff to create and implement educational options making the classroom a learning community for all students.

Mr. Young has experience working with K-2 students identifying their learning needs and establishing appropriate goals. He is also experienced with and is knowledgeable about effective organizational strategies and techniques to use with students needing help keeping their learning organized.

A parent remarked after a recent tour that "no other Catholic school that she has toured is offering the services of a Learning Specialist... your school is cutting edge."
