Dress Code/Uniform Policy
Our Lady of Peace requires all students in grades K-8 to wear a uniform.
Students are to be neat, clean, and well groomed and on all school days must wear uniforms, unless the principal declares a non-uniform day or the student has a written note or excuse signed by a parent. Students are expected to wear the uniform on school trips unless other wise notified by the trip supervisor. On out-of-uniform days, appropriate dress will be expected. Torn clothing, tight clothing, ragged cutoffs, short shorts, tank tops, halter tops, shirts which reveal the midriff, clothing with inappropriate sayings or designs are among items not allowed. When a violation of the uniform code occurs, a form will be sent home to parents.
When a student’s attire is inappropriate, parents may be called to bring the appropriate item to school. The student will wait in the office until the appropriate clothing has been brought for the student. If a student receives three (3) notices, they will be required to serve a detention. If there is habitual noncompliance with the uniform code, a conference may be called with parents and administration and may lead to dismissal.

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS |
- hair color, excessive jewelry, tattoos, make-up, etc. which is determined by the
principal to be a disruption of the learning environment will not be permitted.
- hats, scarves and UGG or UGG-type boots are not to be worn inside school or
church buildings
- students are not allowed to wear black nail polish, black lipstick, wallet chains, visible
tattoos or body writing
