ALPHA

Helping those seeeking to get more out of their life through open, non-judgemental discussions so they can build community and find hope.

The Next Alpha Starts: Tuesday, January 28, 2025 • 6:30 PM

Tuesdays at 6:30 pm

WHAT IS ALPHA?

Alpha is a series of conversations that explore life, spirituality and faith in a fun, non-judgmental environment.

It’s perfect for skeptics, the curious, anyone with doubts or those who want to talk about life’s real issues with new friends.

Alpha runs 11 weeks, and each week is centered around a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts and ask questions.

No question is too basic or too big.

People attend from all backgrounds, religions and viewpoints.

Guests come to discuss questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life and the claims of Jesus.

Some people are curious to understand what the Christian faith teaches.

Others come to learn more about the God who really changes lives.

No judgment. No preaching. No pressure.

Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian Catholic faith or simply aren't able to articulate why they believe what they believe.

Everyone is welcome to #TryAlpha!

Alpha

"I was skeptical at first, but as the weeks passed, I began to look forward to Alpha. The most powerful impact was witnessing the faith of others growing week after week."

FOOD

Whether it's a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch-up over coffee and cake, food has a way of bringing people together.

It's no different at Alpha.

We start with food because it's a great way to build community and get to know each other.

Note: For Alpha Online we are unable to provide a shared meal, but there will be time to get to know each other and socialize.

TALK

The talks explore core questions about life and faith from a Christian perspective.

They address questions such as "Who is Jesus?" and "How can I have faith?"

Talks are generally 30 minutes long.

DISCUSSION

The discussions offer the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic and simply discuss it in a small group.

There's no obligation to say anything.

And there's nothing you can't say.

It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.

If you've already completed Alpha, we invite you to explore new opportunities such as our upcoming Living Faith series and other programs as your next step. We also ask, who might you invite to try Alpha this winter?

Are you discerning whether to join our OCIA program to become Catholic or complete your Sacraments of Initiation

Participating in our winter Alpha program is highly recommended!

Alpha

I find myself praying more often...and I'm starting to recognize the answers that I thought had been missing.

If you are at point A and want to get to point B, Alpha will not transport you there automatically. It can, however, provide you with a compass and a map. And that might be the answer to a prayer you haven't even asked for yet.
