Lent is all about renewing and improving our relationship with Christ. What better way than receiving his mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation? Our Lenten Penance Service will begin with a short service followed by the opportunity for confession. Several Priests will be available.

By being marked with ashes for all to see, we acknowledge the presence of sin in our lives. What will you take on this Lent to rise out of the dust and ashes? The OLP Lenten Fish Fry is back! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to carry out our yearly tradition as a drive-thru only event this year. Please click through to the form and choose what time you would like to pick up your meal(s); we will have 8 slots open for pick up every 15 minutes. Meals are $12 each and include fish, potatoes, coleslaw, a roll, and a cookie. As with all of our events, OLP will have safety measures in accordance with our COVID-19 procedures in place including masking and social distancing. Click through to place your orders! Our beloved parishioner, Mary Lou Campion, passed away last Saturday. In order to accommodate those who would like to attend her funeral Mass on Friday, January 8 at 11 am but are unable to due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be live-streaming the funeral on our YouTube channel. All women are invited to this peaceful hour of Adoration of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament! Contemplative music will provide a prayerful atmosphere for us to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. This event will also be live-streamed on Facebook.
Children will enjoy some holiday fun and learn about two popular saints associated with the holiday season. Packets of activities for children to do at home will be provided and we will be treated to a virtual visit from St. Nicholas and St. Lucy as well! Registration closes on Saturday, November 28. It is likely that the plight of people experiencing homelessness has been on your mind and heart in the last month. In our neighborhood we see the tents of individuals, many who have been put out of work as a result of the pandemic. Government and other agency resources are spread thin, city efforts to create more housing have been moving slow or in some cases stalled. Meanwhile, the temperatures are getting colder and colder making outdoor living dangerous. This month, OLP will be partnering with St. Stephen’s Human Services to help ensure those most vulnerable neighbors are not left out in the cold this winter.
