Parents are called and empowered by Christ to fulfill their mission to proclaim the Gospel of Life, help their children grow closer to Him, and better understand God’s love for them.
Our new program, Family Faith Formation (FFF), centers on the importance of parents being their child’s primary catechists.
We will offer engaging and inspiring resources for families with children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
We are also excited to offer the Family Faith Formation program for Our Lady of Peace school families.
OLP school families can attend our once-a-month sessions for free as part of their tuition!
What are some of the changes to our program for this upcoming school year?
- Once a month, parents and children gather together at Our Lady of Peace to learn about a topic of the Faith.
- During the other weeks of the month OLP will offer content for parents and children to use at home.
- Our program will utilize the curriculum from the Family Faith Formation program developed at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Ham Lake, MN. This model is used in parish communities throughout the Twin Cities and worldwide. It provides a more hands on and family centered approach for families to use at home! To learn more, click here.
Who needs to attend the Family Faith Formation sessions and what will the in-person sessions look like?
- Parents and children in Kindergarten through 5th grade will attend together once a month.
- Each session will start with a prayer service in the church.
- Students will then move to their classrooms, divided by grade level, where our trained catechists will present the lessons.
- Parents will then gather as a separate group and be given materials and the tools to share the at-home lessons with their children and receive formation on the month’s topics to deepen their own faith life.
When do Family Faith Formation sessions meet?
Sessions all take place on one Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:45 pm each month.

Family Faith Formation at Our Lady of Peace costs $105 per family, regardless of the number of children participating.
